Before getting started with Syncerize setup or advanced features, it’s important to understand the core concepts that make Syncerize work. Knowing these will help you set up your stores confidently and avoid confusion later on.

In Syncerize, everything starts with a Source store and a Destination store

Source store

  • The Source store is the backbone of your Syncerize setup. It’s the store or main hub that keeps all the data such as: products, inventory levels, and order details.

  • When you add a new product, adjust stock levels, or change a product price in the Source store, Syncerize updates these changes in your Destination stores automatically. (no need to add these details manually in other connected stores).

  • A single Source store can connect to multiple Destination stores. This means you only need to manage products and stock in one place, while Syncerize handles the rest.

  • If you run multiple ecommerce stores, it's your choice to decide which one will act as a Source store.

  • You can connect more than one source stores to a destination store.

Pro Tip:

Choose your most active store (where you usually manage products first) as your Source store. It will make syncing smooth and intuitive.

Destination store

  • The Destination store is the store (or multiple stores) that receives product, inventory, and order information from your Source store(s).

  • Let's say: you run 3 online stores. Store A, Store B and Store C. If you choose Store B as your Source store, the remaining stores; A and C will be your Destination store.

  • The Destination store stays updated through Syncerize. Any changes made in the Source store(s) such as stock updates, price changes, or product edits—are sent directly to the Destination store.

  • However, you can choose what to sync with your Destination stores from the Source store(s). For example, you may only want to sync inventory, or you may also want to sync pricing, product descriptions, and other attributes.

  • Moreover, when customers place orders on a Destination store, Syncerize can forward those orders back to the Source store for fulfillment. This ensures you never lose track of what was sold and where.
