Why do you need to Bulk Map your products?
When you have already existing products both in the Source store and Destination store, and you want to enable syncing between these products then you need to bulk map your products.
Bulk mapping of products is necessary for several reasons:
1. Efficiency: It significantly reduces the time and effort required to map a single product by allowing bulk mapping.
2. Consistency: Ensures uniformity in product attributes, categories, and details across all stores, reducing the risk of errors and complexities.
3. Scalability: Supports the management of large product inventories.
How to Bulk Map Products?
STEP 1:
To bulk map products, go to Destination Store.
Next, navigate to the ‘Products’ section.
Go to the ‘Unsynced’ tab to view unsynced products.
Locate the 'Map Products CSV' option in the upper right corner and select it to proceed with mapping products using a CSV file.
STEP 2:
Creating a file for mapping
- Download the Sample CSV file to add products in it for mapping
Ensure the file you upload is in CSV format.
You can easily map up to 500 products at a time. To map more than 500 products, initiate the process again with a new CSV file.
The CSV file should contain two columns for proper mapping. This format is essential for accurate product mapping.
The CSV file must have two columns: 'Source Product ID' and 'Destination Product ID'.
Make sure each entry is accurately filled to ensure proper syncing.
- Open the Shopify products section for both the source and destination stores.
- Select a product, open its page, and copy the ID from the URL in your browser.
- Repeat this process for all products in both the source and destination stores.
- Products will be mapped using the Unique Identifier.
STEP 3:
In the third step, select the store for which you want to map products.
Click on the ‘Upload file’ option to upload your file.
- Now upload the CSV file that you have created on Step 2.
- After uploading, you can view the details of all products that will be mapped along with their status.
STEP 4:
- Click on 'Map Products', & all the products you uploaded will be mapped.
Note
The unique identifier is selected from the store's settings, ensuring accurate product mapping. Make sure the correct identifier is chosen for matching products & seamless syncing.
If the Unique Identifier is set to ‘SKU’, the mapping process will utilize the SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) values of products. Ensure that SKUs are Unique & correctly assigned to products for accurate mapping.
If the Unique Identifier is set to ‘Barcode’, the mapping process will use the barcode values of products. Ensure that barcodes are Unique & correctly assigned to products for accurate mapping.
